Remain hopeful, stay open-minded! Peace Talks 2 unfolds at the former special weapons camp IG Area One. An artistic response to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, touching on themes of grief, powerlessness, and hope.
This initiative was driven by the desire to provide a space for maintaining openness and preventing emotional hardening in the face of the violence in the Ukraine war. The intention was clear: to foster connection and dialogue amidst these turbulent times through music, poetry and dance. To nurture a collective spirit of hope.
584 days into the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, Annette Dorothea Weber, sound designer Mike Rausch, dancer Georgia Begbie, percussionists Peter Hinz and Michele Ciccimarra, along with the artist duo illig & illig, extended another invitation to Peace Talks in Fischbach near Dahn in Rhineland-Palatinate.
